Our cotton wicks~ which is a specially braided flat wick which maintains a slight curl when burning.
The curl moves the tip of the wick into the hottest part of the flame, which helps to minimize or eliminate carbon buildup, (mushrooming), reduces smoking and provides a self-trimming effect, which creates a very stable and consistent flame.
Our wicks are lead and zinc free.

Candle Care Tips
Keep your candle away from ceiling fans, high traffic areas, and vents. A moving flame can cause uneven burning and black soot around the jar.
Never leave a candle unattended and keep out of reach of children and pets
Extinguish a candle if it repeatedly smokes, flickers, or the flame is too high
Burn your candle between one and four hours at a time for best results
Always let your first burn be at least three to four hours to get a maximum pool of wax across the top of your candle. If you don’t this may cause your candle to tunnel and burn straight down the middle.
Place your candles on non-flammable, heat resistant surfaces and never leave a burning candle unattended. Take note that placing a hot candle on a cool surface like marble or glass may cause the vessel to crack. Also be sure that you don’t place the candle near fabric or curtains.
Once there's less than 1/4" of wax left in the glass, blow it out and discard or use your vessel for repurposing. If you don’t it will shatter your glass jar.
Trim your wick: Using a wick trimmer or a pair of scissors, trim your wick to ¼ of an inch before lighting your candle, every time. This is the optimal height for ensuring an even burn that is free of soot.
Trimming your wick will help it stay centered in the candle, preventing an uneven melt and minimizing the risk of shattering your glass vessel.
Also be sure to re-center your wick after you have blown it out.
